Wine List

(* - Sold by the glass)

whites

Sancerre, Domaine Yves Martin 2008/2009 Loire, France   £26.50
Based in Chavignol which is one of the best sites in Sancerre, deliciously fresh and zesty with lime and lemon characters.

Petit Chablis, Domaine de la Meuliere, 2008 Burgundy, France     £24.50
Classic text book Petit Chablis, full of fruit with a steely mineral finish. This is great wine in its class.

Pinot Grigio Trefili   £19.50*
Showing a well rounded smooth balance of pears and peaches followed by a complex long light hazel nutty palate.

Sauvignon Blanc de Touraine, Fleur de Printemps, 2008/2009 Loire, France   £18.95*
Award winning Sauvignon from the heart of the Loire. Crisp gooseberries, limes and a very slightly creamy finish.

Grenache Blanc, Le Sanglier De La Montagne. Vin de Pay de l’aude   £16.50*
Sauvignon Blanc fans will love this fresh soft wine. A delightful citrusy flavour with a smooth finish. Another must for shellfish!

Boars Kloof Chenin Blanc, Riebeek Valley   £14.95*
Hints of elderflower on this smooth mouth filling wine & being medium dry leaves a smile on the face.

reds

Chateaux La Croix Blanche, Montagne St Emillion, 2006 Bordeaux, France   £27.50
Elegant and powerful at the same time, this Merlot dominated St Emillion has spent 12 months on oak (33% new). The tannins are present but soft, the palate is full with black fruits and spicy notes.

Malbec, Festivo, Bodega Monteviejo, 2006/2007 Argentina   £23.50
Typical Malbec displaying delicious spices and plum characters, this wine is full bodied and bursting with ripe red fruits and hints of dark chocolate.

Logan Apple Tree Flat Merlot, 2008 Eastern Australia   £19.95
This super juicy red is full of deep ripe cherry, raspberry and black currant flavours and also our longest serving wine. This is a great example of a mouth filling New World red!

Rioja Capitosa, 2007 Rioja, Spain  £18.75
100
% Tempranillo driven, lots of ripe and juicy fruits and not too much oak. Intense and satisfying as you would expect from a good Rioja.

The Leith Red, Vin de Pays d’Oc   £15.95*
A soft and fruity approachable Merlot based wine. Superb with Mediterranean flavours.

Curious Shiraz, McPherson Wines, South East Australia   £14.95*
The perfect start to my wine list. A longing mouthful of dark fruits laced with pepper and just a slight hint of violets on the finish. A great value shiraz and a snatch at the price!
